How much does Nexlizet lower LDL cholesterol?
Nexlizet lowered LDL cholesterol by 38% versus placebo at 12 weeks in adults receiving maximally tolerated statin therapy. Read the evidence.
| Dose and treatment context | LDL result |
|---|---|
| Bempedoic acid 180 mg + ezetimibe 10 mg daily | 38% vs. placebo |
The combination was studied against placebo and its individual components. This is not a head-to-head comparison with a high-intensity statin in untreated patients.
Individual responses vary. LDL and ApoB measure different things; these LDL percentages should not be used as ApoB estimates. Compare ApoB-lowering treatments.
How is Nexlizet taken?
Nexlizet is taken once daily with or without food. If a bile-acid sequestrant is also prescribed, take Nexlizet at least two hours before or four hours after it. Prescribing information.
How does Nexlizet compare with other medications?
Nexlizet combines two non-statin mechanisms in one tablet. Separate Nexletol and generic Ezetimibe provide the same two active ingredients, but insurance coverage and out-of-pocket cost may differ.
Which medications can be combined with Nexlizet?
Nexlizet can be used with a tolerated statin. It should not be combined with separate Nexletol or ezetimibe because that duplicates an ingredient. Avoid simvastatin above 20 mg daily and pravastatin above 40 mg daily.

Eligible commercially insured patients may pay as little as $10 for a 30-day prescription or $25 for 90 days. This is copay assistance, not an uninsured cash price. Offers checked October 6, 2026; availability and eligibility can change.
